1ST EDITION MOLESTINA

“The first Molestina took place in the Ecuadorian highlands, traversing various roads, some paved and others unpaved. We departed from Quito heading south towards the city of Alausí, where we began the off-road section crossing the Western Cordillera. 
 

The weather was cold and rainy, which significantly complicated the journey. Although the road was rated 3 out of 5, the constant rain turned it into a muddy and challenging terrain. Unfortunately, some travelers, lacking the necessary experience for such conditions, fell off their motorcycles. Despite these setbacks, everyone managed to complete the first leg and reach Pallatanga. 
 

In the second section towards Guaranda, three travelers chose to leave the group and take an alternative route, which they believed was more direct. Despite my advice to stay together, it was not possible, so the group split up. A minor damage to my motorcycle caused a delay, leading us to travel at night. Although I enjoy riding at night, not all travelers are prepared for this experience, which can turn into a real challenge. 
 

Despite the difficulties, we all arrived at our destination safely, and the group was pleased to have overcome the adversities of the journey. 
 

These unexpected circumstances, where the road and weather change unpredictably, are the moments that shape the character of travelers and enhance their riding skills, pushing limits they didn’t know they could surpass. These experiences mark a turning point in their lives: some become passionate about the adventure, while others prefer not to return. Such is the life of a motorcyclist.”
