Journey Through Ancient Lands and Hidden Treasures

Start your adventure bright and early in Quito as we set off towards Guayllabamba and the unique Jerusalén dry forest, one of the few remaining in Ecuador. From here, we journey to Malchinguí, nestled at the foot of the majestic Mojanda volcano.

Our next stop is the incredible Cochasquí Archaeological Ruins, where history comes alive with 15 pre-Inca pyramids, 21 burial mounds, and four site museums spread across nearly 84 hectares. Step back in time and explore the heritage of the Quitu-Cara civilization, an unmissable experience for any traveler.

Continuing onward, we visit the charming town of Cayambe, famed for its delicious "Bizcochos de Cayambe" and coffee — a perfect mid-morning treat. As we drive through the lush landscapes of Ayora and Olmedo, keep an eye out for the towering Cayambe volcano, rising 5,790 meters into the sky.

Our journey takes us to Zuleta, known for its world-class handmade textiles. Here, you'll have the chance to visit an artisanal workshop and see these traditional crafts in action. Crossing the scenic pass of the Imbabura volcano, we arrive at the stunning San Pablo Lake, a picturesque spot where you can sample local cuisine, partake in water activities, or discover traditional crafts made from the totora plant.

As the day winds down, we reach Otavalo, renowned for its vibrant craft market—one of the most iconic in South America. Spend the night in Otavalo or choose to stay in one of the nearby haciendas for a more authentic experience.
